Prior to starting his own practice, Brian was a senior associate at Cooley LLP, where he managed defense-side patent litigation for clients in the social networking, wireless telecommunication, video gaming, and digital printing industries.
While at Cooley, he successfully defended client Vistaprint Ltd. in litigation brought in the Eastern District of Texas, securing both summary judgment of non-infringement and a jury verdict of no infringement under the doctrine of equivalents.
He was also part of a trial team that successfully defended client Nintendo in a Section 337 investigation before the International Trade Commission, resulting in a determination of patent invalidity.
In addition to his trial experience, Brian has overseen litigations brought against clients in venues throughout the country, including the District of Delaware, the Northern District of California, and the Eastern District of Virginia.
